RUMOUR HAS IT, Hollywood A-listers Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman will be producing and starring in a “mini-series” based on Australian author, Liane Moriarty’s best-seller: “BIG LITTLE LIES”.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR Liane Moriarty has recently become the first Australian author to have a novel debut at number one on the New York Times bestseller list, thanks to this new novel. (so you just KNOW it’s gonna be juicy) Moriarty also has five other internationally best selling novels under her belt, including Three Wishes, The Last Anniversary, What Alice Forgot, The Hypnotist’s Love Story and The Husband’s Secret.
ABOUT THE NOVEL Big Little Lies is yet another one of Moriarty’s page-turners, written with her usual charm, wit and humor.
The story gives readers an insightful look on ex-husbands, second-wives, mothers and their children, and potential scandals in the schoolyard. It tells the story of three mothers of kindergartners whose secrets are slowly exposed.
What little lies are they going to tell people to try and keep up appearances? Or better yet, what dangerous little lies are they going to tell themselves just to survive? Go grab yourself a copy of this sizzling summer read to find out, before it hits the big screen!!
ABOUT THE SERIES According to The Hollywood Reporter, both Witherspoon and Kidman are on-board to produce and star in a dark comedy/drama based on the novel. Although both actresses have resumes that are quite impressive, given the new Golden Age of television we are living in today, having characters in a series may just be what both ladies need to give a fresh spin on their careers and make them instantly relevant again.
