For the past two decades he’s supported Oceana, a non-profit dedicated to fighting ocean pollution and started his own organization to fight ocean pollution — the American Oceans Campaign. It merged with Oceana in 2002.

this American History X and Fight Club super star is on the board of Enterprise Community Partners, a nonprofit association charity that’s trying to get 1 billion people to reduce their carbon footprints over dedicated to creating affordable housing. He has also hosted the National Geographic environmental series Strange Days on Planet Earth. He’s a supporter of public transportation, and takes the subway when he’s in New York. In 2009, Norton ran the New York City Marathon to benefit the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust.
