Avoiding the Dreaded New Years Resolution
Every year thousands of people flock to gyms on January 1st and 2nd to register for the year. They promise to make changes and to lose that dreaded weight that has been looming for years. One or two months in life get in the way and that unbreakable New Years Resolution fizzles into yet another has been attempt at a healthier year. There’s always next year right? Fitness centers and gyms prey on the fact that during the holiday season we over indulge in desserts, foods, drinks and goodies. They use the New Year New You slogan to entice those guilt-ridden individuals into signing their life away at a gym. Fight the temptation and avoid the guilt once the season is over.
It really is a difficult season to avoid temptation but with a few small adjustments you can avoid the 5-10 Christmas pounds.
Avoid over indulging in sugary alcoholic beverages. The sugary Christmas drinks are usually what help us to feel bloated and stick those extra pounds to us. When possible minimize alcohol consumption. Try for alternative drinks that leave you feeling hydrated and still fresh.

Skip that second piece of dessert! We are ALL guilty of over doing the sweets during the holidays but try your best to sample small portions and skip the second heaping piece. Have a taste not the whole thing!
Stay on track. When you’re not out being fabulous at holiday parties try and stay on your usual dieting and exercise routine that way you are not over indulging for two straight weeks.
Lastly, remember you can have fun without indulging! A bloated and puffy you is not your best you!!
