Canada’s Wonderland spotlights Muslims!
Torontonians and others frolic over from parts of Canada to experience the all and mighty Canada’s Wonderland every year from May to end of October. Recently, they have started making certain days stand out more to market towards various ethnic and social groups. It is a fantastic idea to highlight the multicultural society of our great nation as well as offer various flavours of the world at a place families love to explore.
Muslim Day at Canada’s Wonderland was just that. The festivities included vendors selling halal food ( food Muslim folk are permitted to eat), clothing, accessories, books and gift stalls as well as religious and non-religious sermons being delivered by a varied group of artists and speakers. There was definitely a Muslim pocket of crowd that then dispersed into the various rides, games and adventures taking place at Wonderland. All in all, great idea – FW thumbs up!
