Canada’s Bridal Show
Brides-to-be in and around the Toronto area looking for the latest trends in bridal wear- look no further! Fash Weekly has all the hottest looks for you from gowns to accessories that will have the crowd gasping in awe. Canada’s Bridal Show took place January 6th-8th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, and Fash Weekly was there to report what’s in style this season to have you heading down the isle looking your best!
Fash Weekly caught one of the runway shows, showcasing twenty retailers throughout the Toronto area and what they have to offer. Here are some highlights as well as latest trends from the show!
Trend One: Ruffled gowns
To sum up a major trend spotted at the show….ruffles! Ruffles and full out volume ball gowns were huge and retailers such as Tres Chic Couture, Impressions Bridal and Mona Richie Boutique designed the perfect dramatic look to make any bride look super glam on their special day. Suggestions for this look: keep it simple on the accessories, and let the dress do the talking!
Trend two: Ankle length gowns
Another trend spotted a lot through out the show, ankle length dresses! While traditional women usually look for the long train or the ball gown, ankle length wedding dresses are modern and will sure to have your guests talking! David’s Bridal showcased these gowns in the show which were real attention grabbers and a nice change to the original designs being shown. Suggestions for this look: glam shoes! Since the dress is showing your feet, why not use this as a chance to show off a great pair of pumps!
Trend three: Accessories
Although the wedding gown should be the real show stopper, a great accessory as any girl knows, can top off an outfit. Dramatic floor length veils are sure to always impress, as shown by New Bridal. Sheer shawls are also sure to add an elegant touch as shown by Alina Bridal. Lastly, the accessory that caught our attention….elegant elbow length evening gloves in black! They add a nice touch to the dress shown by Nina Duong Haute Couture.
