Hamilton Pan Am

It’s summertime in the city of Hamilton and for local Hamiltonians that means an explosion of outdoor art, culture and fashion events located in the downtown area. The Pan Am Games are fast approaching and in support of the event Hamilton is having a Pan Am Pop Up Shop and Art Match event throughout the entire month of July. Take a stroll down to the Sherman Avenue Neighbourhood on Barton Street and engage in the free hands-on multi-arts experience. There will be visual art installations about the Pan Am games, crafts, local and international music artists, poetry, dance and plenty of Hamilton’s best food to enjoy! Are you in the mood for a little music? Every week Jackson Square features free live music on the Rooftop Gardens. Each week there is a new artist so you can keep coming back for more.

James street North

This past month a fashion takeover happened on James Street North thanks to Hamilton Fashion Week. Instead of catwalks, models took to the sidewalks to showcase young local designer’s pieces for everyone to see. It was a spectacular event that featured shows from Hamilton’s vintage boutiques, Vintagesoulgeek and The Eye of Faith; as well as local designers Emma Hale, Rachael Warner, Yana Popova and Quiana Emamali. If you are a fashionista we highly recommend visiting the boutiques along Hamilton’s fashion hub, James Street North, for a remarkable shopping experience.
