Whether you’re hanging at a cottage or curled up (soaking in the central air) on a warm summer evening, it’s never a bad idea to dip your toes into a new read. William Mann has documented Barbara Streisand in his new biography, Hello Gorgeous: Becoming Barbara Streisand. The book focuses on Streisand’s life from 1960-1964, when her career was in the making. Directed towards the making of her career, the biography illustrates her strive for fame in the acting industry. The book touches on the earlier memories of her life as a 17-year-old living in New York City. In just under 600 words, Mann interviews, researches and embodies Streisand’s early life, which leaves readers in hope of a future Streisand memoir.
