Victoria secret has taken on a new challenge by providing its customers with certified fibre catalogs, new eco-friendly body products, while still managing to dress women fashionably for the bedroom.

Limited Brands, owners of Victoria’s Secret, have been under scrutiny by green goers and environmentalists for printing millions of catalogues on paper made by clear-cutting Canada’s boreal forests. They have decided to start printing on paper made from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) certified fiber, which makes up 88% of paper purchased for Victoria Secret Catalogs, or a minimum of 10% post-consumer waste. If no change had been made, it would have contributed to the destruction of Canada’s Caribou habitat, and the demise of endangered species. Many are grateful for Victoria Secrets progress but there is still a long way to go.

The company has been on PETA’s cruelty-free company list since way back in 1991 and is now also focusing on its new line catering to its eco friendly customers. After months of research, where the Victoria’s Secret team spoke to hundreds of ladies across the country to find out what’s important to them in their products,Voila!, they listened and now we have a eco friendly line to look forward to. “Think Green. Live Pink” is the slogan of the new body-care line which features products like lotions, body washes, sugar scrubs, foot cream, shaving cream, lip butters, hand cream and more. The line also provides packaging made from Post Consumer Recycled materials, with limited inks and dyes and removable labels.

There are four different collections:
?Energizing – a wake up call for your skin, packed with organic citrus and mint.?

Nourishing – leaves skin feeling super soft and moisturized with organic Shea butter.?

Soothing – hypoallergenic and infused with organic soy milk and oat extract?

Essentials – everything essential for beautiful skin

Cant wait to try!

Moves like this by big companies set a great example and we can only hope that the rest follow along. Bravo to Victoria’s Secret for helping to prove that we can be beautiful, healthy, Eco-friendly and compassionate.
