Ashley, Mary Kate & Elizabeth Olsen
Elizabeth, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, are not foreign names to the fashion world. These women, have established themselves as front-runners in the fashion and couture sphere, championing their signature looks inspired by Yohji Yamamoto and Calvin Klein. Our list wouldn’t look right without the Olsen twins on it. Their over accessorizing plus brilliant styling skills makes them look a million bucks effortlessly. It’s definitely not surprising that the youngest of the sisters, Elizabeth, took on the path of fashion. But don’t get her wrong, she’s no follower. Elizabeth has her own thing going on, unlike her sisters who delve in classics and unique cuts and pieces, she opts for the basics which she pulls off really well. Her ensemble of fitted skinny jeans, a shirt, blazer and loafers looks easy and simple, but looks the total opposite. She doesn’t play it safe either, venturing into velvet suits and Valentinos. This trio, a definite must watch in the months to come (and possibly forever!)
Kourtney, Khloe & Kim Kardashian
E! show Keeping Up With the Kardashians filled a hole left by former reality queens Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie when it premiered in 2007, bringing the mega-wealthy Kardashian sisters, their parents and step-sisters (more on them later) to our TV screens. Like or loathe their ultra-glam style, these siblings have definitely been making some waves in the world of retail. Kim was the first to move into fashion with her stint as a stylist, before the sisters joined their collective celebrity forces to open their famous DASH boutique in their hometown of Calabasas. With business booming, the original store has now moved to LA’s hip Melrose Avenue, with new outlets opening up in Miami and New York, and the three have been busy designing their Kardashian Kollection for Sears and Dorothy Perkins over here in the UK, too.
Kylie & Kendall Jenner
The youngest sisters of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians clan Kendall and Kylie are the daughters of former Olympian Bruce Jenner and reality TV matriarch Kris Jenner (widow of prominent lawyer Robert Kardashian), and the half-sisters of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Kardashian, and Brody Jenner. Both girls have tried their hands at modelling (Kendall even made the cover of Teen Vogue), and have been chosen as Style Ambassadors to Seventeen magazine. They’ve also collaborated with US store PacSun on the Kendall & Kylie Collection, a line of pieces that perfectly represent their sunny California style. Both girls are developing their own style with the whole world watching.
Beyoncé & Solange Knowles
Knowles sister Beyoncé has been tearing up the charts for years, first as one part of globally renowned girl group Destiny’s Child (whose 2013 comeback song has got us all very excited), and then for her hugely successful solo career, making her one of the biggest pop acts in the world. Beyoncé and mum Tina Knowles co-design fashion line House of Deréon, while Bey and Solange created the brand’s junior collection, simply called Deréon. When it comes to their personal signature styles, Beyoncé represents the glossy, R&B queen on-and-off the red carpet, while Solange is the hip younger sis’, all retro afro, 80s prints and cool-cut trouser suits.
