As the powerful business world continues to link itself with a variety of industries across the globe, it is no surprise that the field of fashion, renowned to be one of our times most influential trades, boasts strengthened ties with some of the planets’ largest corporations. And thus, of course, both; the ever evolving fashion sphere and the powerful and problem solving nature of business holds a certain intrigue amongst many.


And so comes along ‘Business of Fashion’.


The website, ‘www.businessoffashion.com’ is an online platform for business and fashion minded individuals alike, “an essential daily resource for fashion creative, executives and entrepreneurs” according to the website, founded by Imran Amed, a Calgary raised fashion enthusiast, who not only boasts a prestigious MBA degree from Harvard Business School but recognition and placement on British GQ’s list of the 100 Most Influential Men in Britain.


On Saturday 6th of September, 2014, courtesy of our friends at Holt Renfrew, Fashion Weekly Magazine had theprivilege of attending a live discussion with Imran Amed of BusinessofFashion.com and Holt Renfrew’s Lisa Tant in regards to all things fashion. Notorious for his compelling discussions with Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel, Natalie Massanet of Net-A-Porter and Dominco Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of Dolce & Gabbana, we were certainly excited to be attending.
