Xian Wang is a men’s wear designer, who pursued his passion for fashion at LaSalle College in Montreal. On February 26th 2016, TOMFW welcomed Xian’s designs on the runway. His pieces spoke a lot for him. He appeared as a very detail-oriented designer with an eye for a luxurious style with some edge. The Xian FW16 collection was created using a dark colour palette. It was clear that Xian put lots of efforts and creativity into making different pieces that, individually, stood out, while using only two fabrics: Leather and Silver Metallic fabric. What made his designs different from one another was the attention to details in shaping the leather differently from piece to piece, and which look to add a metallic touch to. He also used different sizes to create different looks: Some leather pants were long, others were knee high, some leather jackets were tighter than others, and some shirts were longer than others. These minor differences in couture made a huge difference on the runway. As a whole, the XIAN show was very pleasant to watch and really impressed the crowd.
